EULEP Skills Competition Awards — Winners Announced at Terrassa Chamber of Commerce
The EULEP Skills Competition Awards ceremony took place on February 9, 2026, at the headquarters of the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, as part of the 6th National Meeting of European Digital Innovation Hubs. The prizes recognise the best business projects developed by participants of the EULEP pilot courses in virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation.
First prize went to Mònica Montero Alba for her project La Llar de l’Àvia Maria — an immersive VR experience designed for the care and services sector, exploring new formats for human-centred assistive environments.
Second prize was awarded to David Enrich Pereira for AI Implementation for Workshop and Parts Management at BonÀrea, a project focused on using AI to optimise internal processes and spare parts management.
Third prize recognised Montserrat Favà Regalés for XR Tèxtil Experience, a VR application for the textile industry aimed at innovating processes and product-linked customer experiences.
The jury awarded two prizes in the VR category and one in the AI category; the social innovation category received no eligible submissions this edition.
The ceremony brought together Montserrat Caupena, Councillor at Terrassa City Council; Jordi Rodríguez, member of the Terrassa Chamber’s Executive Committee; and Mireia Riera, representing the UOC.
A trip to Brussels as the prize
Winners receive a fully funded trip to Brussels to participate in the EULEP Final Conference, where they will connect with fellow award recipients and representatives from companies and institutions across the eight countries taking part in the programme. The experience offers a unique opportunity to share best practices, gain international visibility, and strengthen ties across European digital innovation ecosystems.
EULEP in Catalonia
The awards conclude the pilot training phase of EULEP in Catalonia, led jointly by the Terrassa Chamber of Commerce, Terrassa City Council, and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Three fully funded courses were delivered in the final quarter of 2025, bringing together 108 professionals and business owners who worked on real company challenges using applied projects in VR, AI, and digital transformation.
The courses were designed in response to a survey of 717 European companies that identified gaps in advanced digital technology skills and digital transformation management — research that shaped the first phase of the EULEP project.
